BlackBox: Audio Edition
Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Your audio stays on your Mac. BlackBox does not upload your audio, collect analytics, show advertisements or track you. No BlackBox account is required.
Audio and metadata
BlackBox reads the files and folders you choose so it can play, analyse and transform audio and metadata. This processing happens locally. Output files are saved only to destinations you authorize. Original files are preserved.
Local app state
The app stores your workspace, action profiles, preferences and file-access bookmarks locally so it can restore them when reopened. Temporary preview files are also stored locally. These files and settings are not sent to us.
macOS controls access to the files and folders you authorize through its file picker and permission prompts.
Data collection and system services
BlackBox contains no advertising, analytics or tracking, and does not collect personal information or usage data for the developer.
Apple handles App Store purchases and macOS system services. If you choose to share crash reports with developers in macOS settings, Apple may make those reports available to us through App Store Connect. Those services are covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Contacting support
If you email us, your email address, message and any attachments are used to help with your request. Please avoid sending private audio unless you want us to review it.
For privacy or support questions, contact support@gavz.app.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s privacy practices change, this page and its updated date will change too.
